Terms of use
These terms govern access to Nebula, an English-language editorial publication about athletic development for adults. By reading the website, a visitor agrees to use it lawfully, respect intellectual property and understand that general information cannot replace individual professional advice. The terms apply to every page of the publication, including articles, glossary entries, resource summaries, event listings and the contact form. They are intended to be read together with the privacy policy, cookie policy, disclaimer, editorial policy and advertising policy, which are published separately on the same website. A visitor who does not agree with these terms should stop using the site, and doing so has no consequence for any article already read. Use of the site is not tied to a contract for paid services, because Nebula does not sell products or accept payments from readers. The terms are written in English, and where a Bahasa Indonesia summary is supplied for convenience, the English text is the version the desk maintains and reviews. Minors may read the publication, but it is written for adults and a parent or guardian is expected to supervise a younger reader.
1. About the service
Nebula publishes articles, definitions, research notes and contact information from Indonesia. Pages may change as sources are updated. The publisher may correct, suspend or reorganise material when reasonably necessary for accuracy, security or maintenance. Nebula is operated from Jalan Cendrawasih No. 45, Duren Sawit, Jakarta Timur 13440, Indonesia. The service is free to read and does not require an account, a subscription or a payment. If a page is withdrawn, the desk may keep an archived copy for internal accountability, but it will not be shown as current guidance. Typical reasons for withdrawal include a superseded source, a factual error that cannot be repaired with a short correction, or a change in professional consensus on the topic. Archived copies are kept for no longer than 24 months and are accessible only to the editor and the contributor concerned. Readers who relied on a page that was later withdrawn can ask the desk, through contact.php, what changed and why.
2. Educational purpose
Content discusses training, physiology, recovery and nutrition at a general level. It is not a diagnosis, prescription, emergency service or guarantee of any result. A reader remains responsible for deciding whether a movement or idea is appropriate after considering personal circumstances. As an example, an article describing aerobic base work for adults over 35 explains the concept and its usual vocabulary, but it cannot know the reader's blood pressure, previous injuries or current medicines. The practical consequence is that a reader should treat each article as a starting point for informed questions to a qualified professional rather than as an individual plan. The same limit applies to glossary entries and research notes, which define terms and summarise studies without applying them to a named person. Figures such as heart-rate ranges, weekly durations or recovery intervals are illustrations of how professionals commonly describe a concept, and they are not prescriptions. A reader who wants an individual programme can ask a physician, physiotherapist or certified coach whose registration can be checked locally.
3. Safe use
Do not use the site to delay urgent medical care. Stop activity that produces alarming symptoms and seek qualified help. Readers should disclose relevant conditions to their clinician or coach before changing exercise, food or recovery practices. Examples of symptoms that call for prompt local medical attention include chest discomfort, unexplained breathlessness, fainting, sudden severe pain or numbness. In an emergency in Indonesia a reader can contact the national emergency number 112 or the nearest hospital emergency department. Nebula cannot monitor a session, respond in real time or take responsibility for decisions made during exercise. Heat and humidity in Jakarta can add to the strain of outdoor activity, so readers are encouraged to consider the time of day, hydration and their own tolerance before following any general description. Anyone who has had a cardiac event, a recent surgery or an unexplained loss of fitness should obtain a professional review before applying material from the site. Contact messages sent to the desk are read during office hours only and must never be used to report an emergency.
4. Intellectual property
Text, layout and editorial selection belong to Nebula or its licensors. A visitor may read, quote a short excerpt with attribution and link to the original page. Copying substantial sections, scraping the publication or presenting it as another service is not permitted without written permission. The following clarifications apply:
- (a) A short excerpt generally means a few sentences, accompanied by the article title and a working link.
- (b) Teachers, coaches and clinicians may print a page for personal use with a client or class, provided the source is stated and the text is not altered.
- (c) Requests for translation, republication or commercial use should be sent through contact.php, and the desk aims to reply within 14 days.
- (d) Automated collection of the site for model training or database building requires prior written permission.
- (e) Photographs and illustrations remain the property of their creators or licensors, and they may not be extracted from a page for reuse.
- (f) A permission, where granted, is limited to the use described in writing and may be withdrawn if the source is misrepresented.
- (g) Statutory exceptions under Indonesian copyright law, including fair quotation for education and criticism, are not restricted by these terms.
5. User messages
A sender confirms that a contact message is lawful and does not contain malware, confidential records or another person's private data without permission. Nebula may retain a message as described in the privacy policy and may use the information to answer the request. Messages that are abusive, unlawful or clearly unrelated to the publication may be deleted without a reply. Nebula does not publish a message, or a sender's name, unless the sender gives clear permission in writing for a specific use, and that permission can be withdrawn later for future publication. Messages are kept for up to 24 months so that the desk can follow up, and are then deleted or anonymised as described in the privacy policy. A sender who includes health details in a message does so voluntarily, and the desk will not use those details for any purpose other than replying. Where a message contains information about a third party, the sender is responsible for having that person's agreement to share it.
6. Links
Links are offered for navigation or context. Nebula does not control external content, availability, accuracy or privacy practices. A link does not mean endorsement, sponsorship or a professional relationship. Linked pages can change or disappear without notice, so a reader may find different material from the version reviewed by the desk. A reader who notices a broken or unsuitable link is invited to report it through contact.php, and the desk aims to review such reports within 30 days. A useful report includes the page address, the link text and a short description of the problem, such as an error message or content that no longer matches the topic. If a link is found to lead to material that conflicts with the editorial policy, the desk removes it and may replace it with a different source. Links to government and professional bodies are checked more often than links to commercial pages.
7. Availability
The site is provided on an ordinary best-effort basis. Maintenance, network failures, security events or third-party outages may interrupt access. Nothing in these terms excludes a legal responsibility that cannot be excluded under applicable Indonesian law. Planned maintenance is usually carried out outside peak reading hours in Jakarta, and brief interruptions of a few minutes may occur without notice. Nebula is not responsible for indirect loss caused by an interruption, for example a missed reading before an event, but it will not rely on this sentence where the law does not permit it. The site is hosted with an infrastructure provider that applies ordinary security measures, and the desk reviews access logs for unusual activity for 90 days. If a security event affects personal data, the steps described in the privacy policy apply, including notice to affected readers within three days where the law requires it. Readers who cannot open a page can describe the problem and the device used so that the cause can be traced.
8. Advertising and neutrality
Any advertising relationship is labelled according to the advertising policy. Commercial support does not purchase editorial conclusions. Sponsored material must be distinguishable from independent articles and must not create a misleading impression. A reader who believes a placement is unclear can report it, and the desk will review the label, the wording and the placement within the response period stated in the advertising policy. Where a correction is needed, the page will be amended and the change will be noted. At the time of the 1 October 2026 review, Nebula does not run third-party advertising, and no sponsored placement appears on the site. If this changes, the placement will carry a visible label such as Advertisement or Sponsored, and the advertising policy will describe the rules that apply. Readers are not required to click on, purchase from or register with any sponsor to read an article.
9. Governing approach
Questions about these terms should be sent to the Jakarta address or +62 856 9317 4825. Indonesian law is the primary reference for the service, while mandatory consumer protections in a visitor's jurisdiction remain applicable where required. The Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 8 of 1999) and the Electronic Information and Transactions framework are the main national references. Nebula encourages the parties to resolve a disagreement first through direct discussion, then through mediation where practical, before any formal proceeding is considered. Any question that reaches a court would normally be heard in Jakarta, unless a mandatory rule gives the visitor another forum. A visitor outside Indonesia keeps the consumer rights that apply in the place of residence, and nothing in these terms is intended to remove them. Written questions receive an acknowledgement within 7 business days, and a substantive answer is normally provided within 30 days. If a provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect, and the unenforceable wording is read as narrowly as the law requires.
10. Changes
The current terms were reviewed on 1 October 2026. The prior version was dated 1 January 2026. A new effective date will appear above when material wording changes, and continued use after publication means the visitor has had an opportunity to review the update. The dated entries are as follows:
- 1 January 2026: first version published together with the launch of the publication.
- 1 October 2026: review of sections on safe use, intellectual property and governing approach; wording clarified, no new obligation added for readers.
Minor typographical corrections do not change the effective date. A reader who wants a copy of an earlier version can request it through contact.php, and the desk aims to supply it within 14 days. Material changes are announced by updating the version line at the top of this page, and the previous wording is retained in the internal archive for 24 months. A change that adds an obligation for readers would be flagged at the top of the page for at least 30 days. Changes made to comply with a legal requirement take effect on the date the requirement applies.
